Advantages or disadvantages of the industrial inkjet printers

1

Nowadays Industrial Inkjet printers are universally used. The image is created by expelling thousands of droplets on the paper. You can select a suitable industrial Inkjet printer to as per your industry needs. Not only advantages, but also some disadvantages that we should concern.

Advantages of Industrial Inkjet Printer :

Initial Cost  :

Industrial Ink-Jet printers are one of the cheapest cost printers in the marketplace. However, inkjet technology has developed and improved so extraordinarily that the lowest cost industrial inkjet printers can create images with the best quality.

Quality :

Now you can create images or documents with high quality by Industrial inkjet printers. You are can create more effects so that your images are more vivid and have the best quality.

Space :

With the comparison of laser printers, the ink jet printers have appropriate size to put on the desk on your workplace or a small room in your house to serve to your work.

Time :

It is totally Different from a laser printer, the industrial inkjet printer don’t have need of time to heat the machine system before print. They have also a little delay between the document being sent to print and the beginning of a print process.

Disadvantages of Industrial Inkjet Printer :

Cartridge Cost :

You can Purchase a low cost industrial inkjet printer first but with the changing of the cartridges in a long period of time, the cartridge cost can exceed the machine cost.

Speed :

You can only use an industrial inkjet printer to create little volumes of documents only because industrial inkjet printer is slower than laser one.

Ink :

The most trouble we commonly face is when the printers are clogged with ink. So the cost of an ink cartridge is down but it takes a lot of time to transfer cartridges.

Moisture :

After creating images or documents, We must wait until they will dry. Sometimes it can take time for our delivery process. There is some possibility for documents smudge before drying.

Applications of 3D printing technology

1

3D printing is not only limited to making prototypes for industry, there are an almost vast number of applications where 3D printing is feasible. Just point out the word custom or one off, and it is likely that 3D printing will not only be the fastest way, but will also be the cheapest way to manufacture the product.

The below are a list of typical uses for 3D printing :

  • Architectural Models :

Architectural models can be made in both color or black & white directly from the CAD data that they have designed it. Models can be produced in hours not in weeks or months for a fraction of the cost of traditional modeling techniques.

  • Working Prototypes :

Prototypes for fit, form and function testing can be made on a daily basis plastics to simulate real life end products. Because models can be produced in hours not in weeks like injection moulding.

  • Avatars :

We can also produce our favorite character from computer games with high accuracies in either full color or white plastic.

  • Exhibition Models :

Exhibition models are another outstanding application of 3D printing. Exhibition models for clients that were fractions of the cost of what the client had been quoted.

  • Medical Applications :

It is feasible to print in bio materials and even human tissues that can be inserted into the body unrejected. We can make medical models of bones, organs, cells and even more from scans and x-rays.

  •  Replacement parts :

3D printer technology is used to get product’s broken or missing part replaced using the  CAD service.

  • End use products :

The finishing of the product is so accurate on the Objet machine that the parts can be used as end use products. If you are allowing for producing one off  products, or low volume batch produced items then it is likely that 3D printing is the way forward.

What is industrial inkjet printer

Industrial ink jet printers are common and the most popular of all types of printers because of their direct imaging and easy handling. An image is instantly created by an inkjet printer sprinkling ink with the help of its tiny nozzles.

The industrial inkjet printer is using electrically charged ink droplets to produce high quality characters constructed on a grid configuration. It can print text, graphics or variable data on :

  • Food
  • Glass
  • Plastic
  • Metal
  • Rubber

The industrial ink jet printers are very useful to the businessman. It can work multiple functions at a time. This is because the Various industries like decorative material production, packaging, graphic arts, etc. use the industrial ink jet printer. These printers use an ink which is cured with ultraviolet rays, which are mostly used in outdoor applications likewise posters. The companies which provide effective and perfect solution for the digital printing they also prefer to use industrial ink jet printer.

The digital quality of an industrial ink jet printer attracts everybody towards it for all their printing works. Inkjet printers have the extreme ability to create digital images by setting up various sized droplets onto the paper.

The most popular type of the ink jet printer is the wide format printer. The wide format printers are able to generate extraordinary posters and banners. It can also print on vinyl and textiles, and also on the papers too. The quality of printouts from industrial ink jet printers is outstanding when it is put to use.

Choosing a printer for your business

With the use of computers in each industry, the use of the printer is also increased. Industrial printers are used mainly for the bar code, stamp printing, carton printing, and also printing on wooden items for some lumber industries.

The different types of industrial inkjet printer are :

  1. Industrial printing equipment :

These printers are used for screen printing, digital printing, label printing, letterpress printing, and also for flexographic printing. Screen printing uses a screen for transferring an image to another medium. Digital printing directly transfers an image for printing from the particular file.

  1. Bar code printer :

Generally each product has a bar code sticker on the cover of the product. This is like a price label for the product and this is done where computerized billing systems are available. These bar codes are printed by the printer and for choosing bar code printer we can concentrate on some things like the resolution of print, rate and its width.

  1. Kiosk and POS printers:

These devices used for electronic bill payments or electronic cash registers. This device use dot matrix or thermal printing technologies.

  1. Label Printers :

Nowadays each product has their label which points to the brand name or product specification. Label printers are used for both to print labels as well as bar codes too.

  1. CD Printers :

The CD industries use a special kind of printer to print on CDs. The main thing for CD printer is the high resolution which can produce high resolution, good quality, colored print. CD Printer should be fast in printing and drying techniques and should be compatible with various softwares.

Thus, industrial inkjet printers are useful to many industries and are available in very affordable budgets.

I found very good industrial inkjet printer in my budget

I basically do the packaging for my own products at my own plant and always needed a proper industry grade inkjet printer. I needed a high speed printing device to make high quality prints on labels as fast as possible.

So I decided to try out something. I was checking out the internet for various industrial inkjet printing systems and came across Citronix systems. Here I read about the ci1000 that could print on cans at speed 600 feet/minute for two line codes. This system cost me around £4000 total with installation and practically my output rate has been doubled.

The system comes with a 2-year warranty that can be extended. Although a little bit less to my liking I have been assured that the industrial inkjet printer can achieve 30,000 hours and 450,000,000 million print cycles Mean Time before Failure (MTBF). If that was not enough, I could of course go in for extended warranty. And besides at the end of two years I must have made enough to add another industrial inkjet printer for the label printing process.

I additionally plan to use the system to print for other manufacturers. It is a nice way to make a little extra this way so that other expenses can get easily managed. I have been using the system for 6 months now and that machine hardly requires any maintenance. We just need to keep the ink flowing and it keeps on printing. I don’t get any dripping problems, no wastage and no mess whatsoever. So yes you can say I got a great industrial inkjet printer at a budget price and can make really great use of it.. It suffices to say that the machine is a high utility device.
